Our training sessions
Historical sources, real-life battles
Our training sessions combine interpretation of historical sources and application in real combat. Each session focuses on a source, a concept, a theme and/or a technique: after an analysis phase, it’s time for practical combat exercises, followed by friendly sparring using modern protective equipment. Although we specialize in 15th- and 16th-century Germanic sources, we’re always open to new discoveries!
Our sessions focus on learning how to handle several different weapons: mainly longswords, but also daggers, messers, dussacks, fighting sticks and unarmed combat.
We only use safe weapons simulators designed for the practice of AMHE, in order to combine historicity and safety.
